Wednesday: Okay, nothing better happen.
So far, so good. I assume that folks are reaching the site without having to use the interim address now, or will shortly. (If you're not, and you control your own DNS, now might be a good time to refresh cache.) Canonical URLs should get switched back to what one expects early next week, which includes the syndication feed (please, please don't change the address assigned to the LiveJournal syndicated account!). There's still work going on behind the scenes, so I should apologize in advance for any structural or presentational issues which may come down within the next few days.
Is everything okay for you guys?
Meanwhile, before anyone worries: to the best of my knowledge, Eric is safe and unharmed by the storm presently affecting large chunks of northeastern North America. However, he's also intermittently and unpredictably without power. (For example, as I write this.) Mind, if you're in northeastern North America, you already know the deal.

I'm in the middle of the same storm. I haven't been hit by any power outages, which is good. But my apartment building did move about in the wind - I was really hoping I wouldn't have to feel that sensation again in my life.

Looks like someone already did.

Holy crap is it windy here. I took a nap in the afternoon and couldn't figure out for the life of me when I turned of my computer when I woke up.
Then I noted all the clocks blinking.

D'oh. Looks like I'm an idiot. It's still grabbing the feed from websnark.com. Move along, nothing to see here.

Accessing the site from websnark.com is A-OK for this'n.
The storm sounds pretty intense -- luckily we're missing it in Michigan.
Where's a magic flute when you need one?

Sopping wet and cold, but not actually freezing, way down here.

In southeastern PA we've got flurry "warnings" and gusts of up to 50 MPH but fortunately most of the electrical lines run underground, so we've been good on that count. Hope Eric's keeping warm.

We're just getting wind here in NY. And I guess you could consider it cold (but 28F isn't enough to get me to turn off my fan).
Then again, I'm fairly certain we're not on the docket to get hit by the storm, so I get to point and laugh.

Sounds like he picked exactly the wrong time to lose all that insulation. Who's healthy now, skinny boy?!

I'm feeling much better about this 7 degrees Farenheit weather now that I realize how much worse it could be. Not that driving through snow and wind is fun, but, hey, at least I can still get online. Nothing cannot be endured if I can still get online.

It's been pretty darn windy here in Western MA too. Yesterday I heard one of the neighborhood kids screaming someone's name at the top of his lungs. I looked out the window, just in case.
Sure enough, they were just riding their bikes. In the wind. In the 60 mph wind.
But at least they had helmets!
