Eric: Oh, like you haven't been there.
(From The Coffee Achievers. Click on the thumbnail for full sized snrk!)
I'm rushing around like a madman, grabbing the "things" and "stuff" and the like before running down to pick Wednesday up from the airport, but wanted to pause and say something about today's Coffee Achievers.
Unfortunately, all I can come up with is "it made me laugh. Underwear jokes are funny."
So, that's what you get!

Your girl is coming into town, and you still thought to share. That's pretty cool, dude. Have fun!

I can't tell if he needs new underwear because he was excited, nervous, or SCARED OF THE GIANT EYES IN PANEL 2 AHHHHH. She looks like she's going to eat him!
Of course, that's only if he plays his cards right.
Hm, another new comic whose archives I must trawl.
Oh, and Eric? Remember- Kraft dinner's hot, oozing cheese sauce warms any girl's heart.

larksilver, I read this as "his girl's coming into town, so he decided to make many posts to compensate for the fact that updates may be erratic the next wee while". Then I remembered that when Eric stops posting, he normally doesn't do that. And that there've been a lot of posts the last week or two, and if he wanted to build up a buffer, he'd be better saving them all, or doing ones with more length. So, unless he's channeling ABH, I've put it down as "December seems to be a really good month in webcomics". And I'd put money on him commenting on something positive sometime soon too, after Randy finally posts a comic. :)

Dragonmuncher -
That's an interesting interpretation of why he needs new underwear, probably correct. I had just assumed that he had really given up on women and let himself go since becoming a delivery guy - dispensing with the mere formality of changing underwear.
I'm not sure which way I like to think of it better. But I guess the great thing about ambiguity is that you don't have to choose.

I think there's an explaination that's a little more riske than either. ^_-
They cartoonists obviously haven't watched the Futurama DVD commentaries, or they'd know that the word "underpants" has been scientifically proven to be exactly 20% funnier than the word "underwear".

I'm a little worried: I went to check out Coffee Achievers, and got dragged into also looking at You'll Have That after about 10 seconds. (I'm intrigued by the art style.) It's some sort of pyramid scheme, and I am not lots of Egyptians.
Scarybug: I think that was covered, assuming "excited" gets a different reaction than "nervous". Ahem.
Edit time: die parentheses die.

WOO! Thanks for the shout-out, Eric. Have fun with your lady. Remember while she's there that, if you're too embarassed to get on the floor and dance, just start ordering doubles until you don't care anymore. Ladies don't like to dance by themselves.

Robert: Yeah, I realized that I hadn't read carefully enough until after I'd posted. I decided just to keep my head down and hope no once noticed.

You'll Have That is a good day-to-day fun sorta comic.

Does the delivery guy look like Scott McCloud to anyone else? I think it's the glasses.
Comment from: larksilver posted at December 22, 2005 12:15 PM
I thought he did, too, Reatheran. Actually, I thought "man, that guy looks like another comic character," but I couldn't remember whom. When I read your comment, however, I had an "aha! That's who" moment. If that counts.
