Eric: Angels sang out, in an immaculate chorus. Down from the heavens descended Chuck Norris.

I don't often do this.

However, the movie of The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny might be among the six greatest things of awesomeness, ever.

*gasp* It's subtitled! Even if I'm not crazy about the blood (*turns faint*) having subtitles certainly makes it rock.

NEEEEEEEERRRRRRDDDDDDS!

EPIC.

Complete with 'Snakes on a Plane' reference. Fantastic. EPIC.

The song on its own is pretty damned catchy, too.

Comment from: Imaria posted at December 29, 2005 5:33 PM

That was remarkably awesome. And the song was pretty good in its own right, as well, which was a welcome change from a lot of Flash stuff.

Comment from: Eric Burns posted at December 29, 2005 5:45 PM

I actually think the song makes the whole thing.

I now have that song on my iPod.

Sam Logan was right. About so many, many things.

I concur.

See? That supposed "hoax" about Fred Rogers being a Navy SEAL was true! He was a true role model for all of us all: a sensitive, gentle caring man who can beat the snot out of anything!

There can be only one!

Comment from: Kirath posted at December 29, 2005 6:02 PM

I agree... top six awesome things, for sure.

That was the most messed up thing I have ever watched.

Must go watch it again...

Dude, Tobias F˝nke got to take part in the Ultimate Showdown? How the hell did that happen?

I'm disappointed in the low pirate content of that clip, though. No Dread Pirate Roberts or Captain Jack Sparrow? Not even a shark that was on fire. I feel robbed.

Still downloaded the mp3 and the video, of course.

Ya know, this is one of those things that ought to be true, even if it is technically factually wrong. Like Santa Claus. So I'm going to live my life as if it were true, and I like to think I'm a little better for it. Like treating the world as if it were an RPG, and those weird stains on the road actually cover secret rooms if only I knew how to open them..(..ok, so I'm just a litter odder for that one.)

Comment from: Tyck posted at December 29, 2005 6:38 PM

hmm. Having just finished watching the thing, I can say this with certainty: This is going on FARK. I wonder if FARK can crash Newgrounds?

Comment from: Plaid Phantom posted at December 29, 2005 7:29 PM

People who know me know I don't say this very much (well, ever, really), but it's the only thing I can say for such a thing.

Holy FUCK.

Comment from: Robert Hutchinson posted at December 29, 2005 9:09 PM

Eh, it was pretty neat. I downloaded the song for future enjoyment.

Among the 600 greatest things, maybe.

Comment from: John Bankert posted at December 29, 2005 9:17 PM

I can see how some might not be all that geeked over ultimate showdown. I am, however, totally geeked. MP3? Downloaded.

Indeed a masterstroke of awesomeness!

Wouldn't you know it? The band's bandwidth for the day has been exceeded. Wonder how that could have happened.

Comment from: Arujei posted at December 29, 2005 11:09 PM

I have to say that that is one of the greatest flash animations I have ever seen. I mean, having both Gandalf the Grey AND the White? And the Black Knight was a nice touch.

Comment from: MrCheshire posted at December 30, 2005 7:01 AM

In regards to Tyck's comment, it seems very unlikely that Fark might crash Newgrounds, since - according to alexa.com - Newgrounds actually gets slightly more traffic on a daily basis than Fark.

I was curious, based on your comment, so I decided to check. Thought you might find it interesting, too.

If anyone is interested in knowing, the two who made that movie made another one just last month.

After literally watching that seven times yesterday, I have to ask - are biscuits solely for webcomics? Because if not, that totally deserves one.

Comment from: Plaid Phantom posted at December 30, 2005 4:36 PM

If not a biscuit, then how about a cookie?

Also, if anyone visits the site of the audio guy (http://www.eviltrailmix.com/lemondemon/) you need to check out "Dance Like an Idiot" in the Downloads section. Awesome song.

Comment from: Tim Tylor posted at December 31, 2005 5:46 AM

The band's Falling video is good too.

Interesting band name. I had a nightmare once about a malevolent nature-spirit associated with a lemon-scented herb, but probably this is coincidence.

Hahah. What in the world... I have to say, it's not my cup of tea, but it interested me.
