Eric: A formal apology to myself.

(From Nothing Nice to Say. Click on the thumbnail for full sized JUDGEMENT!)

We're in a Panera Bread, on our way south to Boston. We are having dinner. The wireless is free. I am reading, and following links. Which lead me to the above.

I would like to announce the two following things:

1. I am now a Mitch Clem fan.

2. I am formally apologizing to myself for not being a Mitch Clem fan before now. People have said I would enjoy him, but I haven't been reading his comic strip. I have treated myself shabbily through my own neglect and willful disinterest, and I only hope to make it up to myself.

Carry on.

If you like Mitch, you might like Joe and Monkey, done by Zach Miller. Mitch and Zach are good friends (and you'll find them doing guest strips for each other through the archives and whatnot), and JaM is a great strip.

Funny, I was expecting the very next strip as a thumbnail. Mitch rules.

Oh and what Brian said. Check out Joe and Monkey. I find the trial story particularly hilarious ("I declare this list to be excellent!")

HAHA! Awesome!

Mitch is one of my favorite comic artists on the web, and I'm not just saying that because he's one of my best friends. The man makes amazing comics.

Finally.

Yes! Mitch's comic totally kicks ass, most excellently!

And do check out Zach's comic as well. It too kicks ass in a most refined manner!

I told you so. A long time ago.

Welcome to the joy.

Mitch and Zach are both great guys. So is Paul. (midwestern/former midwestern wankfest)

I find his latest storyline most ironically compelling, becauser I find people who are made uncomfortable by vegetarians hilarious. I'm a meatatarian and it's no one's business but my own what dead animals I eat. Just like it's a vegetarian's business what dead plants he eats.

Hmm, well so far I see a bunch of music jokes that I don't get and a few decent jokes here and there. I guess Mitch Clem is not going to be my personal savior. Though I like the one about asking a woman if she'd go out with you and then saying sorry you've got a girlfriend. That's living on the edge!

I wouldn't have a problem with vegetarians so much if most of them didn't try to convert me, as well. I don't bother any that respect my omnivorous ways.

As for Clem... well, his target audience isn't me, so quite a bit of the archives just didn't do it for me. But for the stuff that didn't require knowledge of punk (especially anything that made fun of emo), it was pretty solid.
