I know that you are being mean and cynical today. I understand this. But could you confirm something for me, before going off on the mocking of fabric-based talismans?

Is the gaming fez, in fact, made of outing flannel?

If no: what are you on about? And where can I get one which is?

If yes: why on earth would you make it into a pillow? Why not a sport coat?

I really think Brent has no idea about the differences between types of fabric. Or if he does, he doesn't care and instead cares that Francis doesn't know. And this is a perfect chance to mock someone. Doesn't this fit perfectly into what we know about Brent?

And, frankly, a gaming pillow would be useful sometimes. No funny hat to wear and you can recline in style.

Not "make it into a pillow". "Sew it into a pillow." As in, make a pillow out of other stuff, and insert the scrap at its core, so that it will be secret and safe.

Not that anything that's been down a teenager's pants can ever be safe again....

I've seen the fezes. Sadly, they are not outing flannel.

On the other hand, there is precedent. In one of Lucy's rare nice moments to Linus, she sewed the remnants of his Snoopy-destroyed blanket onto a new blanket for him, to give him a sense of continuity.

She then proceeded to insult him.

(And yes, I just gave up the game. I can't help it. I see a Shibboleth, I want to prove I'm a Gileadite instead of an Ephraimite.)

The only reason, lokki, why I don't think anybody congratulated her on the Peanuts reference is because Eric mentioned outing flannel and its Peanuts connection about a week ago. Not that Peanuts references are EVER a bad thing, I'm just letting you know.
