Eric: That Hello Kitty pillow scares the Hell out of me.

(From Normal Life. Click on the thumbnail for full sized monkey toes!)

One nice thing about trawling the Daily Grind competitors is the breadth of folks I'm seeing now who didn't cross my radar before. So far, Natasha Allegri is up near the top of that list. She's doing a true journal comic in the Kolchalka "moments of the artist's day" vein, but with an Amy Ganter twist (and a scosh of Nicole Hollander for good measure).

I like the clean lines and use of color, here. More to the point, it's easy to identify with what's going on. I've been monkey-footed by girls on couches before. And I've monkey footed back. A moment's recognition does wonders for a comic strip based on a life. It reminds us that the moments of our lives are somehow echoed in the moments of other peoples' lives.

Oh, the doctor's visit was vastly better this time. Crisis averted.

Er. Hello Eric. Greetings. I can't find an email address for you, so you get this instead.

I think it's on your night trawl, so you may not have seen it yet, but you may want to go take a look at today's Scarygoround.

Shelley seems to be a step closer to getting that membership card.

I know! Poor Shelley... I didn't want to see it coming. And she _never_ sees it coming.

But, about monkey toes. I have those toes! I always get flattering looks of horror when people see my feet.

I figured that since I sideswiped the comments here I should actually go read the comic mentioned. Not sorry at all. The dream snake and the PWNing of Pompei are also awesome.

And Zutto: Aw, so lucky. Freaky toes would be fun. My feet are a family inheritance - large and flattish.
